Who we are

Gadabout (“we,” “us”) operates gadabout.world, a service that watches travel bookings you choose to share with us and alerts you when the price drops enough to be worth acting on. Questions about this policy: hello@gadabout.world.

What we collect

Account information: your email address when you sign up, and a phone number only if you choose to add one for text alerts.

Booking confirmations you forward: when you forward a confirmation email to your private Gadabout address, we process its contents — itinerary details, booking reference, fare or rate paid, and passenger name as it appears in the email — to set up and run your price watch. Forward only bookings you are authorized to share.

Price data: we record the publicly available prices we observe while watching your booking.

How we use it

To run the service you asked for: parsing your forwarded confirmations, monitoring prices for your exact bookings, sending you alerts and service emails (and texts, if you opt in), and improving the reliability of our monitoring. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your booking data for advertising.

Text message (SMS) program

If you opt in to text alerts by entering your phone number and checking the consent box in your account settings, we will send you SMS notifications about price drops and service events for trips you have registered. Message frequency varies and depends on your watched trips — typically a few messages per trip. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using Gadabout.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except as required to deliver the messages themselves (our SMS carrier partner) or as required by law.

Service providers

We use a small set of processors to run Gadabout: cloud hosting and databases, inbound and outbound email delivery, SMS delivery, and an AI service that extracts booking details from emails you forward. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function and may not use your data for its own purposes.

Retention & your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can update notification preferences or remove your phone number anytime in settings, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@gadabout.world. Anonymized, aggregated price observations (not tied to you) may be retained.

Changes

We’ll post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email.
